Boghuma Kabisen Titanji, MD, MSc, DTM&H, PhD, is a Cameroonian born physician and clinical researcher, currently based at Emory University in Atlanta. Her clinical and research training have taken her through three continents and provided a rich exposure to varied healthcare settings and perspectives on global health. Dr. Titanji is very passionate about how clinical research can be directly translated into policies, which impact the lives of vulnerable patient populations.
As a TED speaker she has shed light on the ethics of scientific research in vulnerable communities within the continent and also given several keynote presentations on global health research priorities and how they affect developing countries. Dr. Titanji is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Emory University’s School of Medicine in Atlanta, USA.
Through the advancement of ethically sound research, she continues to work towards combining translational research with clinical practice to influence global health policy in the field of infectious diseases. Her blog shares perspectives and conversations on the field of Global Health and Infectious Disease and also chronicles her personal journey and unique experiences as an ID physician.
